Universal cleaning system for mounted circuit boards and other components.

This cleaning system can be used universally for electronic modules and precision-engineered components. The system is suitable for both small and medium batch sizes, as well as for large series, with an automatic conveyor, and the cleaning meets IPC standards.

  • The cleaning basin is the first of four steps. Cleaning takes place in a completely closed cleaning and filtration cycle and is supported by ultrasound or an aerator with an integrated compressor. A sedimentation tank (decanter) within the cleaning cycle serves to separate out heavy particles. The additional overflow in the cleaning basin (skimmer) draws floating particles away from the surface quickly.
  • The rinsing stage can be operated using solvents or water. The rinsing effect is enhanced by means of compressed air flow. It can be operated with DI water in a closed cycle using active carbon filters and ion exchangers. There is also an optional rinsing with tap water.
  • The third step is the thorough rinsing with DI water. This is always performed in a closed cycle using active carbon filters, ion exchangers and additional fine filters (1 μ). An integrated conductivity meter permanently monitors the purity of the rinsing water.
  • Drying takes place by means of hot air of up to 80°C blown into the drying chamber. The typical drying time is about 10 minutes.

PBT UNICLEAN lllAn automatic conveyor system can easily carry loads of up to 15kg and enables greater efficiency and a safe cleaning process. A variety of mounting devices and conveyor racks are available.

The whole process is represented and visualised on the monitor. A Windows PC controls the machine and monitors the process.
